3 And not only so , but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

Siyo hili tu, lakini pia tunafurahi katika mateso yetu. Tunajua kwamba mateso huzaa uvumilivu. Uvumilivu huzaa kukubalika, na kukubalika huzaa ujasiri kwa ajili ya baadaye. Ujasiri huu haukatishi tamaa, kwa sababu upendo wa Mungu umemwagwa katika mioyo yetu kupitia Roho Mtakatifu, ambaye alitolewa kwetu.
Tetukoma ku ekyo kyokka, naye twenyumiririza ne mu kubonaabona, nga tumanyi ng’okubonaabona kutuyigiriza okugumiikiriza. Tozali mpe komikumisa kati na pasi, pamba te toyebi ete pasi ebotaka koyika mpiko, koyika mpiko ememaka elonga kati na komekama, mpe elonga kati na komekama ebotaka elikya. Nzokande, elikya ekosaka te, pamba te Nzambe asopaki bolingo na Ye kati na mitema na biso na nzela ya Molimo Mosantu oyo Ye Nzambe apesaki biso.
Bien plus, nous nous glorifions même des afflictions, sachant que l’ affliction produit la persévérance, la persévérance la victoire dans l’ épreuve, et cette victoire l’ espérance. Or, l’ espérance ne trompe point, parce que l’ amour de Dieu est répandu dans nos cœurs par le Saint-Esprit qui nous a été donné.
Y no sólo esto, mas aun nos gloriamos en las tribulaciones, sabiendo que la tribulación produce paciencia; Y la paciencia, prueba; y la prueba, esperanza; Y la esperanza no avergüenza; porque el amor de Dios está derramado en nuestros corazones por el Espíritu Santo que nos es dado.
Nicht allein aber das, sondern wir rühmen uns auch der Trübsale, dieweil wir wissen, daß Trübsal Geduld bringt; Geduld aber bringt Erfahrung; Erfahrung aber bringt Hoffnung; Hoffnung aber läßt nicht zu Schanden werden. Denn die Liebe Gottes ist ausgegossen in unser Herz durch den heiligen Geist, welcher uns gegeben ist.
Não apenas isso, mas também nos alegramos em nossos sofrimentos, sabendo que o sofrimento produz perseverança; e a perseverança, o caráter aprovado; e o caráter aprovado, a esperança; e a esperança não nos decepciona, porque o amor de Deus foi derramado em nossos corações por meio do Espírito Santo que nos foi dado.
